On the sun-drenched afternoon of June 25th, The Social Teahouse in Varna became a hive of activity and excitement. The event was like a perfectly brewed cup of coffee – inviting, rich with flavor, and leaving a lasting impression. Attendees streamed into the cozy venue, eager to blend the warmth of coffee-making with the invigorating possibility of travel and personal growth.

The event began with a Barista Workshop that was both a feast for the senses and a lesson in craftsmanship. The aroma of freshly ground coffee beans filled the air, mingling with the eager chatter of participants. Each person found themselves transported into the intricate world of coffee art. The instructor, an ESC volunteer with a background in coffee making, guided attendees through the delicate dance of steaming milk, pouring with precision, and crafting exquisite latte art. The experience was as much about the journey as the destination – each swirl and pour were a step closer to mastering the art of coffee-making, as embarking on a new adventure. Throughout the workshop, participants were brimming with curiosity, asking numerous questions about techniques, coffee origins, and the finer points of latte art. Their enthusiasm and engagement added an extra layer of excitement to the session, making it clear that the quest for knowledge was as integral to the experience as the coffee itself.

Following the workshop, the coffee shop transitioned into a space of shared stories and inspiration. Two passionate volunteers from the European Solidarity Corps (ESC) took the stage, their energy was felt as they spoke about the Erasmus+ program. They painted vivid pictures of their journeys, from studying in bustling European cities to volunteering in quiet villages, each tale underscored the transformative power of stepping beyond one’s comfort zone. Their stories were like windows into new worlds, filled with cultural exchanges, personal growth, and the unexpected friendships everywhere that colored their experiences.

The volunteers didn’t just speak of adventures, they provided practical advice, offering a roadmap for those eager to embark on their own journeys. They discussed the applications to those opportunities, the nuances of adapting to new cultures, and the invaluable life skills gained along the way. The audience buzzed with newfound enthusiasm and a shared sense of possibility.

As the event continued, the energy shifted towards a more interactive experience with the board game „Time To Move.“ This engaging game invited participants to explore Europe in a fun and educational way, reinforcing the themes of travel and cultural discovery that had been highlighted earlier. The room filled with laughter and friendly competition while learning about various European curiosities, making for a memorable end to an inspiring afternoon.

The event at The Social Teahouse was more than just a workshop or a talk – it was an invitation to explore, to learn, and to embrace the richness of new experiences. Like a well-prepared cup of coffee, it left everyone with a warm feeling and a longing for more, proving that sometimes, the best journeys begin with a single, simple step.
